Hereford Learning Hub

Welcome!

Hereford Learning Hub is an alternative provision setting that stands out as a home away from home centre for children from various backgrounds and learning needs. At its core, the centre is built on the foundational belief that every child deserves to be supported and accepted, embracing the individuality and unique learning motivation of each child/young person. Unlike traditional educational environments, Hereford Learning Hub has an innovative approach to education that offers a nurturing, inclusive and understanding neurodivergent safe space, led and run by neurodivergent teachers.

FAQ's
Who is your provision suitable for?
We support pupils of all ages with SEMH needs, including those with EHCPs, who are struggling to access education. Our setting is most suited to young people who engage best in a calm, kind, low-risk environment.

Do you accept young people with EHCPs/EOTAS packages?
Yes, most of our young people have EHCPs, and we work closely with schools and the local authority to meet their identified needs and outcomes. We can offer placements as part of EOTAS packages for young people with EHCPs who are unable to access a full-time school setting.

What outcomes do you aim to achieve?
We aim to support young people to build solid relationships, increase their educational setting attendance, engage further with learning and progress towards their next steps.

What makes your provision different?
We like to think, a lot! We create a safe space for neurodivergent young people that is led by neurodivergent adults. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships; we’re not just a place for learning, but a place for misunderstood young people to feel safe and understood.
If you have any other questions or believe you may know of a young person who would benefit from our provision, please don’t hesitate to get in contact.

How do referrals work?
Referrals can be made by schools, local authorities, or parents. We offer initial discussions to ensure suitability of our setting to the young person before we begin any transitions or placements.
